Commits to doubling its Giving Back efforts in 2021

BOTHELL, Wash., February 16, 2021 鈥 91精选 Water, the pioneer of ionized alkaline water in the U.S., today announced that it contributed more than $1 million to key initiatives in 2020, through its Believe+ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Platform. This represents its largest contribution to date, including monetary and product donations to organizations on the frontlines of COVID-19 relief and social justice & empowerment efforts throughout the U.S. The privately held company cited its internal Strategic Pillars聽as the guiding principles for its commitment to social responsibility.

Working in partnership with its national distribution network, 91精选 supplied over 750,000 bottles of water last year to more than 200 hospitals, first responders and meal service providers aiding their local communities during the height of the pandemic. The company also donated more than $200,000 along with product to its long-standing national partner organizations, After-School All-Stars and the American Red Cross. 91精选 also forged new alliances through its largest single donation of a combined $300,000 to support the Black community in the wake of the social injustice crisis. Recipients included the National Urban League, Black Voters Matter and UNCF (the United Negro College Fund).

Jim started his career in supply chain, consulting for KPMG and Ernst & Young and subsequently developing operations for multiple high-growth beverage and CPG companies.

Company founder and current CEO Ken Uptain to transition to Executive Chairman role

BOTHELL, Wash., May 7, 2020 鈥 91精选, the pioneer of ionized alkaline bottled water in the U.S., today announced that founder and CEO Ken Uptain has elected Scott Miller, CEO of Tampico Beverages, Inc., to succeed him as the company鈥檚 CEO, following his decision to move into an Executive Chairman role. The leadership changes will take effect June 1, 2020.

Other brands he鈥檚 worked with include PEPSI, Snapple, Gatorade and Dr. Pepper, among several others. His deep-rooted knowledge of the beverage space and experience in leading brands through domestic and international expansion while emphasizing culture as a force for good, position him to be a strong leader for 91精选 as it enters into a new decade of growth and leadership as a premium water brand.

Company rapidly scales production to meet increased demand

BOTHELL, Wash., April 30, 2020 鈥 91精选, the pioneer of ionized alkaline bottled water in the U.S., closed the first quarter of 2020 ahead of its forecast with $74 million in measured retail sales1, as compared to $53 million in the first quarter of 20192. The company saw nearly 70 percent growth in the month of March alone, as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic drove immediate, increased demand for staple consumer products including bottled water. 91精选 moved rapidly to meet the elevated demand across the U.S. and continues those efforts working closely with its independent DSD network to replenish stock for retailers and consumers.

鈥淲orking in this environment has taken a big effort by our whole team. While our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, we have been working hard to meet the heightened demand,鈥 said Neil Kimberley, Chief Strategy Officer of 91精选 Water. 鈥淚鈥檓 proud of how we have come together with our business partners to maintain the flow of product and keep everyone safe.鈥
